Heritage Middle School Baseball Tryouts
Friday October 16
3:30-6:00pm

Students trying out will need an up to date physical and a completed sport packet.
Students will report to Coach Thompson's room at 3:30pm the day of tryouts.

GIRLS BASKETBALL OPEN GYM

There will be open gym tomorrow (9/16) after school for any girl interested in trying out for this season's girls' basketball team.

If you are planning to participate tomorrow afternoon, please make sure you have given Coach Vananda a copy of your current physical and that you make arrangements to be picked up by 5pm.
This will be the last opportunity to practice before tryouts next week.

Fall portraits are ready! If you would like to view your child's fall portraits, please follow these steps:

--You can also navigate to this link by going to the ProPhoto website, clicking on "schools" and finding our school.
2. Your student's code is their student number from PowerSchool.
3. You can use your email in the email address field.

Good news if you would like to order your student's photos! ProPhoto is now offering a free shipping option! You can choose to pay shipping to have it mailed directly to your house, or you can choose free shipping and the order will be shipped to the school and sent home with your student. If you choose the free shipping option, it might take longer to receive your order, because they do them in bulk as orders come in. You will have this option at check out.

On Tuesday of this week, your Mountaineer tennis team defeated William Blount 4-1. They continued their winning streak yesterday by sweeping Maryville Christian White 5-0. Some of the matches were close because MCW’s players were fighting hard. It was some really good competition! Coach Carl is super proud of the effort all of players on all the teams. Keep up the good work!

In soccer news: Congratulations to our Heritage Lady Mountaineers soccer team for another huge win, this time over Eagleton. The Lady Mountaineers are now 6-0 and won impressively 2-1. It was a great team effort by all, after going down 1-0 early the girls stormed back for the victory. Goals by: Mila Snyder had 2 goals JV tied Eagleton 1-1 Goal was scored by Madison Young Great job ladies!

Girls Basketball

There will be girls' basketball open gym THIS afternoon from 3:30pm-5pm.
Any girls interested in trying out for this season's team are encouraged to come; however, you must have a copy of an updated physical dated after April 14, 2026, that has been given to Coach Vananda PRIOR to participation.

Please make sure you have made arrangements to be picked up at 5pm.

Do you want to be a member of a club but don't know where to start?
How about Builders Club.

The purpose of Builders Club is to develop leadership skills through service to the school and community.
We help with events in the community and even ring the bell for the Salvation Army before Christmas.

The first Builders Club meeting will be Tuesday, September 15th at 3:30pm in Mrs. Duncan's room on the 6th grade hallway, room 605.
Please make plans to have someone pick you up outside the 6th grade hallway at 4:15pm

You can pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Duncan's room, room 605, before Tuesday.
