Our HMS school nurse is charged with caring for students with medical needs, injuries and/or illnesses while they are at school. She strives to help HMS provide a healthy and safe learning environment.
A few important reminders…
Please keep students with a fever home until they are fever free for 24 hours
Please keep students who are vomiting or have diarrhea home for 24 hours after the last episode
Sick students who come to school may infect other students and staff
Remember the best way to avoid sickness is the routine practice of washing hands or using hand sanitizer.
6th Grade Parents/Guardians
Please make arrangements for your students to receive the Tdap booster before they start 7th grade. Once your student receives the booster or f your student has already had the Tdap, please have your student turn in a copy of their shot record to the clinic or please fax it to 865-980-1281.
